Core Skills is a Canadian nonprofit organization dedicated to helping people build the practical skills they need to succeed in school, work, and life.
We believe that education and employment should be connected. Too often, learners enter the workforce with technical knowledge but without the communication, confidence, professionalism, and resilience needed to thrive. Core Skills was created to help close that gap.
Our training focuses on the essential human skills that support long-term success: communication, teamwork, emotional intelligence, time management, professionalism, adaptability, presentation skills, and workplace confidence.
We work with schools, employment service providers, settlement agencies, nonprofits, and employers to deliver accessible learning experiences for youth, newcomers, job seekers, and underserved communities. Our programs are practical, inclusive, and designed to meet learners where they are.
Through self-paced courses, workshops, and partner-based training, Core Skills helps learners gain confidence, strengthen employability, and prepare for meaningful opportunities.
To empower learners with the soft skills, confidence, and workplace readiness they need to succeed in today’s changing world.
A future where every learner has access to practical, inclusive, and engaging skills training that helps them participate fully in education, employment, and community life.
